Thanks for listening to the Disability Sport Info show!

Hello, Listener! It’s me, Dr Chris Brown, host of the Disability Sport Info show, here. A few short updates from me.

An exciting first update from me! I’ve just begun a special series for the Paris 2024 Paralympics on YouTube. This has begun with my new podcast episode with Professor Tom Shakespeare about the meaning of disability. This is available to listen on all the usual platforms and on YouTube.

For the Paris 2024 Paralympics series, exclusive content will be hosted on YouTube in the lead-up to the Paralympics as well as throughout the duration of the event.

I’ll be covering a number of topics, including understanding what disability is, the development of the Paralympic Games as an event and as a movement, what it takes to be successful at the Paralympics, questions and challenges for the Paralympic Movement, and the legacy and empowerment potential of the Paralympics, and much more besides!

To provide an expert take on the topics I’ll be exploring, I will be creating short explainer videos, infographics and podcast episodes to explore the Paralympics in depth.

This content will only be available on the Disability Sport Info YouTube channel. Be sure not to miss out by subscribing to the Disability Sport Info YouTube channel, @DisabilitySportInfo,  so you can be a Paralympics expert too.

Finally, thank you for supporting the podcast. We’ve now had over 5,000 downloads of the podcast. As an independent podcast, your support with downloading and engaging with episodes is really appreciated. Please do get in touch with your thoughts on any topics you’d like me to cover or if you have any feedback. You can do this via Buzzsprout’s Fan Mail option, or by emailing Disability Sport Info’s email address: disabilitysportinfo@gmail.com.

That’s all from me. Do check out the YouTube channel for Paralympic content. Stay tuned for future content. Until then, goodbye!
